Not a Tall Ship but the Trawler WILLDORA built in 1901 and a Dunkirk veteran which was lovingly restored by Sunderland Maritime Heritage group in preparation for the Tall Ships Event

Yes Ivor, a great sight to see and I spent the best part of the six days that most of them were in the port looking around and enjoying it all. I even volunteered to help escort a group of kids from my grand daughters school along to the event. The sun shone brightly and it was red hot all week. The only down side was that, on the day they all sailed, I was taking photographs directly into the sun, which was difficult although I got a great tan :D
