Great collection Jim, we made it to the Armada of the Century in Rouen 2000, a trip to remember.

Thanks Barry, its a wonderful sight. The last event that I attended was on the River Tyne some years ago when they were tied up on the quayside at Newcastle and we also went to see them sail out and had a great view at South Shields, opposite the Fish Quay.

I envy you both , something about large sailing ships that is fascinating , and whilst hard going and dangerous to be on , also their is mystique which pervades them .
To old now , but would have loved to work on one and scale the rigging and feel the ship beneath me ......romantic ? perhaps , but they seemed to have a soul of there own
