As a founder member of this Forum I just realised that I didn't introduce myself. I joined this Forum at the request of Tim Lewin and agreed to Moderate its content. Consequently, my role here is to keep things ship shape and try to keep the posts in some semblance of order and to look out for duplication of topics and threads. I served in the Royal Navy for eleven years between 1963 and 1974 and produced a short YouTube video of my service (it was hard to revue 11 years into 27 minutes  ), which can be viewed here.

Thanks Dave. There were no huts when I went back for my son's passing out parade in the 80's. They were living a life of luxury then :-)
He was employed on slave labour on the so called Job Creation Scheme, doing the same work as everyone else but getting paid buttons. He managed to transfer proper after about 12 months and he ended up as another killick greenie, which left me very proud.
