Torpedo Boats of the Imperial Rusian Navy

Russian Torpedo Boat No 255 IRN Gelendzhik pictured at F C de la Méditerranée Shipyards, La Seyne in 1884,powered by a coal fired VC1 Locomotive engine she attained a top speed of 18 knots.
TB No255 was stricken in 1907 but in July 1915 commissioned again as a Minesweeper,in October 1916 reclassified as a Despatch Vessel. 1/5/1918 she was captured by German troops at Sevastopol.

Sungari Class Torpedo Boat IRN Nargen (renamed Ussuri),built by Wm. Crichton & Co Shipyards at Turku,Finland,Project number 1129, launched on November 15th 1889, handed over to Imperial Russian Navy in 1891.
