The first of the Kaiser's battle cruisers. Despite having 11" vs. 12" on RN BCs, she was more than a match, as she proved at Jutland. Like the rest of the WW1 German BCs she was a very rugged ship that could both dish out and absorb punishment. DFO

However, a 15" hit from BARHAM, at Jutland, did put her in dry dock!! Also, fitting out at B+V yard, Hamburg, 1909. Plus a view apparently on her way to Scapa Flow. DFO
