Hmmm what a fiasco.... the following from Save The Royal Navy twitter @NavyLookOut

Not @DefenceHQ fault that one of the most respected publishers in the business (IHS Janes) cocked up and accidentally published #f35ondeck too soon. Neither could they forecast a plane with impeccable safety record would crash on the day embargo lifted.

Yes Harry there has been a complete blackout imposed by the MOD but I believe that some info will be released tonight and plenty of photos and videos will be released tomorrow so hopefully someone will help me out and post what they find.

Yes heard similar and that pilot is ok. 400 F35Bs flying with Ks of hours aloft so a pretty good comparative record.

COST-PRICE REDUCED AGAIN

The US Department of Defense and Lockheed Martin have finalised an $11.5 billion contract for the production and delivery of 141 F-35 aircraft at the lowest per aircraft price in programme history.
In LRIP 11, the F-35B unit cost was lowered to $115.5 million. This represents a 5.7 percent reduction from the $122.4 million it cost for the short-takeoff and landing variant in LRIP 10.

I believe that the MOD have hedged the £ against the $ but I don't know how far ahead?
