While I was a Divisional Officer at Raleigh I learnt one has to be careful in the way an order is expressed. In the kit muster room there was a large photo of how the kit should be laid out. I told one class that I expected to see their kit laid out exactly as shown in the photograph. One member of the class was an ex Royal Marine, when I got to his kit he had done exactly as I had said, including the little card board cards identifying each item.
