British warship carries out patrol off North Korea

June 30, 20247

HMS Spey recently conducted a surveillance patrol in support of United Nations sanctions against North Korea.
The Offshore Patrol vessel conducted monitoring and surveillance activities against illicit maritime activities, including ship-to-ship transfers with North Korean-flagged vessels prohibited by the United Nations Security Council resolutions, in waters surrounding Japan.

It was the twelfth time a Royal Navy vessel engaged in such activities to since 2018.
