RN Destroyers: Q Class 1942

Q-class Destroyer HMS Quadrant pictured from USS Wasp off Japan in July 1945,she was transferred to the RAN in October 1945.

I think most of the "Q" flotilla were sold abroad, did not the Ozzies get Queenborough as well?

Quail and Quentin were war losses. Quilliam went to the Netherlands as HNLMS Banckert.
The remainder; Quadrant, Queenborough, Quality, Quiberon and Quickmatch all went to the Royal Australian Navy. They we all converted to Type 15 Anti Submarine Frigates postwar.

thanks Jim, fine collection of pictures, glad my memory was right about sales. The Emergency destroyers were without doubt good lookers....
