Don't know how old she is but she has an extraordinary amount of dents on her flanks some in circular configuration in Brians first shots of her , also fair few touch up paint jobs , hence my observation

I believe the VARYAG was completed in 1988. All 3 were built in a Black Sea yard, 4th unit was never finished after Soviet Union disintegrated. I think I read recently she is finally being scrapped?? DFO

A few of MARSHALL USTINOV, Northern Fleet's CG of this class. Notice the new radar on her low mainmast; this is the most obvious change from her "modernization".
The hi bow view shows her off well! Given the 16 HUGE SSMs these carry, a possible carrier-killer. Of course, that is what the Sovz designed them for. DFO
