those huge quarter-decks were ideal for deck sports for the Mids, hee is one from TTLs time in Valiant in 1940;

Two memory jerkers there .
1. My wife's father was on Valiant at that time , and
2. The father of a great friend , was one of the survivors of the Barham and twice Lord Mayor of Plymouth .

indeed excellent, thanks. these ships were not great in length but very beamy. They had presence. Interesting to read in TTLs journal of references to the others in the class, only QE and Valiant were ever really modernised.
