How splendid Brian, VMT for finding and sending this which i will share round the family; this was FO2FEF times, he got on well with the Tunku who invited him to use and stay in his rest house in the Cameron Highlands.. If you look back through the chapters in the links past you can find the chapter all about this posting.
Great stuff

22nd January 1999, 2000, this was the time that TTL slipped quietly across the bar.
Drake he's in his hammock till the great Armadas come,
(Capten, art tha sleepin' there below?)
Slung atween the round shot, listenin' for the drum,
An' dreamin arl the time o' Plymouth Hoe.
Call him on the deep sea, call him up the Sound,
Call him when ye sail to meet the foe;
Where the old trade's plyin' an' the old flag flyin'
They shall find him ware an' wakin', as they found him long ago!
This year we will remember The Falklands +40, Pedestal +80, PQ18/QP14 and his DSO +80
He would wish you all a double-shotted tot!

Joining you all I raised a glass [or was it two?] to the geatest skipper I had the honour of serving under . He is well worthy and respected to be remembered with our seafarers of days gone by .
